A new year is unfolding like a blossom with petals curled tightly concealing the beauty within.

About Us

Priesthill (Zion) Methodist is situated on the Kesh Road, just outside Lisburn and Hillsborough. Well known land marks in the area include:

  • the Down Royal Racecourse - the oldest Racecourse in Ireland
  • the world renowned Maze Prison
  • Hillsborough Castle

A Methodist society has been in existence at Priesthill for two centuries and our church building is over 150 years old. Priesthill is part of the Down district and Lisburn & Dromore Circuit of the Methodist Church.

John Wesley wrote of the area in his journal on Monday 26th Jul 1756:

"The country between Lisburn and Moira is much like Berkshire, having fruitful vales in each side of the road, and well wooded hills running even with them, at a small distance."

As a church our vision is is summed up in our mission statement and through it we hope to fulfil God's will: "Centred in Christ, Caring for People"

This is reflected in our Sunday worship and our Child, Youth and Adult ministries.
